10% and PROVOCATEUR Receive Awards for 2009 Calendars

Los Angeles, California, April 27th, 2009 - For the fifth year in a row, 10% and PROVOCATEUR wall calendars were honored for superior content and design at the annual National and World Calendar Award Competitions held by the Calendar Marketing Association. This year, 10% garnered two awards and PROVOCATUER won one. Boyfriend of the Month, a 10% calendar featuring photography by Ohm Phanphiroj, won the Gold Award for Best Glamour Photography in the National Competition. Magnifique, a 10% calendar featuring photography by Fred Goudon, won the Silver Award for Best Glamour Photography in the World Competition. And Women, a PROVOCATEUR calendar by Renée Jacobs, won the Gold Award for Best Black & White Photography in the World Competition.

A best selling 10% title for several years, Boyfriend of the Month features a selection of Phamphiroj’s photography that highlight the sweet, sexy and sultry models he has found from around the world. This year, 10% will publish a 2010 Boyfriend of the Month calendar featuring photography by PatrickMark that maintains the same sexy and youthful feel of this award-winning 2009 title.

Magnifique is one of two 2009 wall calendars published by 10% and PROVOCATEUR that features the work of Goudon, an internationally acclaimed photographer. The other calendar, which PROVOCATEUR published, was titled Bedtime Stories and was also very popular. PROVOCATUER will publish a 2010 calendar featuring Goudon’s work in June 2009. This new title called Masculinity is a new collection of images presenting some of the sexiest nude men from around the globe including the hottest imagery from Goudon’s newest art photography book called Virility. Fans of Goudon’s multiple best-selling art photography books (Sunday Morning, Bedtime Stories and Aqua) will not be disappointed with this gorgeous wall calendar.
Women 2009

PROVOCATEUR was the first publisher to feature Jacobs’ work in a calendar. Jacobs is an award-winning fine art lesbian photographer whose photography has been featured worldwide in newspapers like The New York Times and magazines like Maxim Romania and Esquire Turkey. Her work also hangs in permanent collections including the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library in Boston, Mass. The 2010 edition of Women will again feature Jacobs’ work; however, this time it will feature a combination of color and black and white photography.

The Calendar Awards Program held by the Calendar Marketing Association is the industry's premiere competition, recognizing the highest quality calendar design and production in the world. It is open to all those involved in the production, distribution and marketing of calendars — advertising agencies, artists, designers, photographers, printers, publishers, etc. A panel of judges examined all entries in the competition and rated the entries on the following criteria: quality of artwork/photography/graphics, readability and information quality of the calendar grid, originality of the calendar, complete execution of the calendar subject/theme and fulfillment of the category entered. The suggested retail price of all of 10%’s 2010 wall calendars is $14.99 each. Each PROVOCATEUR calendar sells for $15.99. The calendars will be released in June.
